However, he also explained that "there isn't a whole lot of departure between Riot! and the songs from Kelly Clarkson or Avril Lavigne."[157] A reviewer at NME had likened Paramore's sound to that of "No Doubt (stripped of all the ska bollocks)" and "Kelly Clarkson's wildest dreams."[158] Hayley Williams has gone on to comment virtually the female aspect of the band maxim that Paramore is non "this girl-fronted band" and it makes "music for people to relish music, not so people can talk about my sexuality."[35]
Paramore has expressed appreciation for Failure,[159] [160] Autumn Out Boy, Hanson, Panic! at the Disco, Blink-182, Decease Cab for Cutie, Jimmy Consume World, MewithoutYou, and Sunny 24-hour interval Real Estate,[161] equally well as Thrice and New Found Glory;[162] Hayley Williams has cited her personal influences as Elvis Presley, the Shirelles, the Angels, the Ramones, Jawbreaker, Radiohead, Green Day, Blondie,[163] NSYNC, Destiny's Kid, Aaliyah,[164] The Smiths,[165] Siouxsie and the Banshees,[166] The Cure and Etta James.[167] Williams named many singers as heroines: "I love Debbie Harry and Siouxsie Sioux. The band members are Christians and in an interview with the BBC, Josh Farro stated "Our faith is very of import to us. In 2007, the band played an audio-visual gear up for the grand opening of a Warped Tour exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,[171] and the apparel Hayley Williams wore in the video for "Emergency" was also put on display in the exhibit.[172]
In June 2007, they were declared by Rolling Stone equally "Ones to Watch".[173] Paramore made their live television debut on Fuse Networks daily show, The Sauce. The second unmarried from Riot!, "Hallelujah", was released on July 30, 2007, and is only bachelor online and on Britain tv set. In August 2007, Paramore had been featured in television spots on MTV, performing acoustic versions of their songs or acting in short accompaniments to MTV program commercials. As "MTV Artists of the Week", the band filmed the false camping ground themed spots in Queens, New York, all written and directed by Evan Silver and Gina Fortunato.[174] MTV.com as well has a drove of short videos with the band to promote Riot! as well. For weeks in August 2007, the "Misery Business organization" video was the number one streamed video at MTV.com.[175] On October 8, Paramore played "Misery Business organization" live on Tardily Night with Conan O'Brien, a booking fabricated possible due to the friendship struck between the band and Max Weinberg during the 2007 Warped Tour.[176] In August, Paramore participated in New Found Glory's music video for their cover of Sixpence None the Richer's vocal "Buss Me".

Paramore's song "Decode" was the atomic number 82 unmarried for the novel-based Twilight movie.[194] Another song called "I Defenseless Myself" is too featured on the film'south soundtrack.[194] "Decode" was released on October ane, 2008, on the Paramore Fan Guild site too as Stephenie Meyer's website.[195] [196] The ring began shooting the video Oct 13 and it premiered on November 3. The music video for "Decode", along with the Twilight film trailer, was shown in the North American Domicile Theater of PlayStation Home from December xi, 2008, to December 18, 2008.[199] The video premiered in full through MTV and its subsidiaries on Nov 3, 2008, one 24-hour interval ahead of the release of the soundtrack on which the song is featured.[200]
Paramore's song "Now" is featured as a song for the game Rocksmith 2014.[201]
